TOPIC- FRAUD IN MULTAN METRO PROJECT & CENSUS DISPUTE

YASIR MAJEED REPORTER SAMAA said that Multan metro project was planned in two phases. He said that first phase is completed but second phase never could start. He said Multan metro bus project phase one cost is twenty eight billion rupees.
ASAD UMER OF PTI said that the case of Multan metro bus is similar to Ch Sugar mill. He said that the institutions in Pakistan instead of catching the corruption do the cover up job. He said that the investigations against corruption in Multan metro bus project started in China instead of Pakistan. He said that it is said that Khurrum Shahzad is saying that he is the front man of Shahbaz Sharif.
He said that at the start of the census some minor objections were raised but nothing particular. He said that it is surprising that the growth in the population of Karachi is shown half as compare to Lahore. He said that Mr. Bajwa incharge of the census should be summoned to clarify and all the political parties should be present there. He said that a subcommittee can be formed to investigate the discrepancies in the census numbers. He said that the problem started because of the mistake of Sindh government in the boundary limits of Karachi. He said that nobody can believe that the population of Karachi is 14.9 million.
MIFTAH ISMAIL OF PML-N said that it is strange that China is investigating corruption that occurred in Pakistan. He said that it is possible that China might be investigating its own company corruption in Pakistan.
He said that he is agreed to form a subcommittee on the disputes on census but it should be consisted on technical people who could understand statistics. He said that the population of Lahore or Karachi can not affect the wage board award of Sindh province. He said that had the government any intention of male practice in census it would have done in Punjab but its population increase rate has been dropped.
SHARMEELA FAROOQI OF PPPP said that Shahbaz Sharif said at the inauguration of Multan metro that he will be responsible if there will be any corruption in the project. She said that metro projects in Pakistan are most expensive they are four time more expensive as compare to India. She said that China is accusing of corruption in Cpek projects but there is nobody to response on our side. She said that Miftah Ismail is not aware of the facts they are kept secret from him.
She said that Sindh government has rejected the outcome of the census. She said that Sindh government asked for the copy of the acquired numbers but it was never provided.
